About SKS College of Nursing
V.S Educational Trust, Salem was founded by the promoters of SKS Hospital, Salem‘s first multi specialty hospital, to start SKS School of Nursing since 1993. In 2021 the School of Nursing was upgraded to a College of Nursing with an annual intake of 60 students. The College of Nursing is designed to meet the ever-growing need for qualified Nurses in the country, where at present the number of trained nursing personnel is woefully inadequate. This college helps to meet the shortage of qualified nurses by offering a four year B.Sc. Nursing degree course affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University.
This sprawling campus provides a holistic education in an ambiance that makes no compromise on discipline, dedication, and commitment. It strives to inculcate the spirit of learning in the campus offering state of the art facilities and learning environment to the students. Ms Vasantha co-founded SKS Hospital in 1987 as the first multi-speciality hospital in Salem. She is currently the Chairman of the Hospital. She has wide cross-functional experience working in several positions across the spectrum.

The directors are of the opinion that it is the responsibility of the educational institutions to empower the young techno brains of India so that the younger generation will succeed in the global mainstream. is the forerunner in implementing the vision of our chairman which is to foster excellence in education. His aim is to enable the college in the next five years to break into a top-notch private institute in the region through continued dedication to the cause of knowledge dissemination and giving out the radiance of knowledge and wisdom.
